About Us
Melting Pot Restaurant is a Take-Out Haitian destination where everyone can enjoy bold Caribbean flavors made with care and intention. In our bright, welcoming space, every guest is treated like family, because creating joy is what we’re all about. We take pride in expanding our menu beyond Haitian flavors alone, and you will often find a hint of other Caribbean cultures hidden within our restaurant as well.
Our Background
Melting Pot Restaurant was founded in July 2021 by married couple Emilio Pantaleon and Radica Jaikaran. Although they began their professional careers as Real Estate Brokers and Tax Preparers, their shared love for cooking and bringing people together has always been an important part of their relationship.
Partnership and teamwork have been the foundation of Emilio and Radica’s relationship. After more than 30 years together and raising a beautiful family, they decided to create a new outlet where they could combine their passions for food, community service, and public outreach. What began as a shared love of cooking grew into an opportunity to create a restaurant that brings people together through food and culture.
Melting Pot Restaurant is a reflection of their backgrounds and the flavors they grew up with. Emilio’s Haitian heritage and Radica’s Trinidadian heritage serve as the foundation of the restaurant’s cuisine, bringing together the bold spices, traditional dishes, and rich flavors of both cultures. Their menu celebrates the similarities and differences between Haitian and Trinidadian cooking while creating a welcoming space where everyone can experience and enjoy these flavors.
Through their food and continued commitment to serving others, they hope to create an environment where every guest feels welcomed, valued, and at home.
